Australian company uses space technology to map subterranean reservoirs – World

Barrick Gold has developed a subsurface map of Recodec deposits with the help of flat space technology. The main purpose of mapping is to make the process of extracting minerals from recodic deposits faster and more efficient.

Barrick Gold has begun exploiting the exosphere for mineral extraction, using a solution developed by a key Australian space exploration company. According to a press release issued by PR Newswire, Barrack Gold will be able to extract more minerals faster with the help of space technology.

Advances in space exploration, artificial intelligence and exosphere modeled by 3D multiphysics are being used to map the 3D subsurface to accurately identify water levels, copper deposits and more. Decodic is a project spread over 1150 square kilometers in Balochistan.

Flavia Tata Nardini, co-founder and CEO of FlatSpace Technologies, says Barrack Gold and FlatSpace continue to collaborate on mineral exploration and extraction. Through advances in space exploration, artificial intelligence and 3D multiphysics, we strive to ensure a long-term and sustainable supply of copper for the environmentally friendly energy of the future. For this, cooperation with the UN’s ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ is also ongoing.

Exosphere’s innovation and sustainability was also recently recognized at the Banksia Foundation’s 35th National Sustainability Awards where it won The Climate Technology Impact Award for 2024. Exosphere has achieved phenomenal success over the year. It also includes a Series C funding of $50 million, bringing its net worth to $350 million. Exosphere is also preparing to send a mission to the Moon in 2026.

Fleet Space Technologies is a key Australian space exploration company. Its headquarters are located at the National Center for the Australian Space Industry in Adelaide. This organization is working in USA, Canada, Chile and Luxembourg. In 2023, FlatSpace was named the country’s fastest growing company by the Australian Financial Review.
