Auston Trusty was loaned from Premier League side Arsenal to second-tier Birmingham City on Friday for the 2022-2023 season, before the American defender played his first game for the Gunners.
Trusty, 23, was traded from the Colorado Rapids to Arsenal in January, before being loaned out to the Rapids for whom he made 16 MLS appearances this season. Both Arsenal and Colorado belong to Stan Kroenke.
Trusty played with Philadelphia in 2018-2019 before his transfer to Colorado. He participated with the United States team in the U-20 World Cup and has been called up twice to the senior team without him having made his debut.
