The composition of the new government team, led by Elisabeth Borne, was announced on July 20. Aurélien Rousseau becomes Minister of Health and Prevention, Aurore Bergé, Minister of Solidarity and Families and Fadila KhattabiMinister Delegate for People with Disabilities.
Aurelien Rousseau, 47, was until July 17 last chief of staff to the Prime Minister. He was a history and geography teacher in Seine-Saint-Denis, before joining the ENA. In 2009, he became a member of the Council of State, then successively held the positions of deputy chief of staff to the mayor of Paris Bertrand Delanoë (2012) then to Prime Minister Manuel Valls (2015). On July 25, 2018, he was appointed Director General of the Île-de-France Regional Health Agency (ARS IDF) and led health policy in the region, in particular during two successive health crises, that of the Notre-Dame fire and that of Covid-19. He left office in August 2021 at his request and returned to the Council of State, his original body. Since the start of the 2021 academic year, he has also been an associate professor at the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales where he leads a seminar on the transformation of the State.
Within his department, Agnès Firmin Le Bodo remains Minister Delegate in charge of Territorial Organization and Health Professions.
Aurora Bergé, 36 years old, becomes Minister of Solidarity and Families. President of the Renaissance group in the National Assembly since June 29, 2022, she graduated from Sciences-po, and began a career in communication and lobbying. She got involved in politics very early, alongside the Republicans, before being elected deputy of Yvelines in 2017. With her, Fadila Khattabi is Minister Delegate in charge of Persons with Disabilities.
