The Argentinian lawyer who accused Oscar Jagou and Hugo Oladeu of violent rape has expressed regret over the partial release of the two players by France’s XV.

The Mendoza prosecutor’s office announced Monday
partial release
Rugby players Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou have been jailed in Argentina for a month on suspicion of aggravated rape.

For the plaintiff’s lawyer Maître Natacha Romano, this is an inappropriate measure: “ This release is a double punishment that intensifies the pain, worry and anguish of the victims and their loved ones, posing a threat to their physical and mental health. »

In the RMC broadcast, the person involved continued: ” In this case, if we were talking about an ordinary Argentinian who was not a public figure, the court would order the continuation of pretrial detention. […] This was a premature release and my client’s psychological expertise was not yet available due to a lack of available experts. These expert opinions are a decisive element of the evidence on sexual violence. »

The two France internationals have been released for now, but must remain in Argentina temporarily as long as the investigation is not fully concluded and await a possible classification without further action based on the psychological professional results of each.
