We cordially invite you to take part in the ceremonial celebrations of the Polish Army Day and the Memorial of Major Henryk Dobrzański “Hubal”, which will take place on August 15 in Jasło.
Celebrations will begin at 9:00 with a mass for the homeland in the Franciscan church. Then, as is tradition, participants will walk along 3 Maja, Kołłątaja and Sobieskiego streets to the city park. There, the national anthem will be played, the Roll Call of Remembrance will be read, followed by a salute and a ceremony of laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Mayor of Jasło will also deliver a speech on the occasion.
At 11:00 we invite you to winners concert VI Patriotic Poetry and Song Contest “Independent, Unruly”. Additionally, participants will be able to see displays of military equipment, including the Military Recruitment Center in Jasło, a presentation of cavalry uniforms and equipment, as well as stands of the Rzeszów Shortwave Rescue Network and the Jasło Communications Club SP8KJX. After the concert, we invite you to military pea soup.
Historical Picnic
In the afternoon, at 3 p.m., the Hubal meadows at Sroczyńskiego Street will host Memorial of Major Henryk Dobrzański “Hubal” – a historical picnic, which will also be the qualifiers for the Polish Cavalry Championships in sabre and lance. The program also includes drill and stunt shows on horseback, as well as military equipment and supplies. Details on a separate poster.
Please take into account the traffic disruptions that will occur from 10:00 to 10:15 on Chopina, 3 Maja, Kołłątaja and Sobieskiego streets.
