Waking up from a long sleep. The Canadian series “Audrey is back” will be available exclusively in France from April 13 on CANAL+ from 11:10 p.m. The ten episodes will be available immediately on the myCANAL streaming platform. Created by Guillaume Lambert and Florence Longpré, this fictional film which won two awards last year at the CANNESERIES Festival – where it received the Grand Prize and the Special Prize for interpretation – follows the story of Audrey, a 17-year-old girl found unconscious on a country road.
Plunged into a coma, she wakes up 16 years later on her hospital bed. She is unable to speak, to move, and her memory only comes back to her in bits and pieces. During all this time, life around her has changed a lot. Audrey will have to relearn everything, and acclimatize to a time that is foreign to her and that she does not understand. The young woman, who wakes up in an adult body, will also rebuild ties with the members of her family, whose existence was turned upside down on the day of the tragedy.
The day before the launch of the new edition of the CANNESERIES Festival, Canal+ invites its subscribers to discover this deeply touching Canadian series on awakening, resilience, and the difficulty of regaining a taste for life following trauma. Florence Longpré, co-creator of the fiction, is stunning in the lead role.
