The threat of a blocking of filming in the French audiovisual sector is dissipating… without completely disappearing. The social movement started in mid-November by audiovisual technicians to obtain a significant increase in their minimum salaries, and which had disrupted several dozen filmings of series, TV films, documentaries and broadcasts, led to an agreement.

Three of the four employee union organizations – the SNTPCT, the SNAJ-CFTC and the F3C-CFDT -, whose cumulative rate of representativeness in the sector exceeds 62%, have ratified an amendment to the collective agreement for audiovisual production, announced a press release from the SPI (Union of Independent Producers) Friday January 19. The SPIAC-CGT, however, has not signed and intends to continue its action.
