Audioteka supports the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw in connection with the opening of the museum’s new headquarters. The result of the cooperation is a podcast Everything has already happened – the first Polish audio series about contemporary art. You will be able to hear stories from unusual guests whose starting point are works from the collection of the museum in Warsaw. The podcast’s partner is the Society of Friends of MSN.
The guest of each episode is a person from outside the world of art, whose personal story will provoke a new, non-obvious look at the work and the issues it raises. The story will be complemented by the voice of an expert, presenting the broader context and topic of the work in an accessible way.
– We are happy to contribute to the celebration of the opening of the new MSN building and to participate in it in the way we do best – through high-quality, immersive audio production. We are looking forward to the moment when, while listening to the podcast, we will be able to watch works of art that its creators and their guests talk about with great passion. Anyone who has previously thought that contemporary art is too difficult for them will change their mind after listening to the podcast and will certainly give it a chance – says Monika Bazdyga, Head of Marketing at Audioteka.
Inspired by American formula productions audio storytelling (How Aria Code Metropolitan Opera or Artists Among Us Whitney Museum of American Art) the creators of the podcast propose a new way of talking about art, intertwined with what moves us in the world around us – here and now.
– What I’ve always liked about American podcasts is that often inconspicuous topics turn out to contain engaging stories. We decided to use this format to talk about the MSN collection, which is a mine of good stories about the modern world, although perhaps not everyone expects it. A barrier for viewers is often the fact that the works refer to contexts and fields of knowledge that are not widely known, which is why we focus here not so much on the art itself, but on a multi-threaded, comprehensive story. – comments Zofia Płoska-Czartoryska, host and originator of the podcast.
The following people worked on the podcast: Zofia Płoska-Czartoryska, Jakub Depczyński, Jagna Lewandowska and Bogna Stefańska from MSN. The authors cooperated with award-winning podcast creators – Monika Proba and Wojtek Oleksiak from Move Me Media, who were also responsible for the sound side of the production. The jingle was composed by artist and composer Anna Zaradny, and Bolesław Chromry is responsible for the graphic design of the season.
The first episode of the podcast Everything has already happened with guest participation of Katarzyna Figura and Joanna Krakowska will be available free of charge in the mobile application and on the Audioteka website from October 25. Subsequent episodes will be available as part of the Audioteka Klub subscription. New episodes will appear every two weeks.
Everything has already happened: A Cheeky Dive into Audioteka’s New Podcast
Gather ‘round, art lovers and podcast enthusiasts! Hold on to your headphones because Audioteka has thrown us a delightful curveball paired with a bouquet of modernity and storytelling. They’ve teamed up with the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw to launch a podcast entitled Everything has already happened — and, no, you haven’t fallen asleep in an abstract art exhibit; this is genuinely exciting news!
In a world where contemporary art can sometimes feel like deciphering hieroglyphics with a hangover, this podcast aims to serve as your trusty Rosetta Stone. Each episode features guests who aren’t just blurring the lines between art and life but are dance-partnering the two in a mesmerizing waltz of narrative, probing into art pieces with the insight of a five-star Michelin critic reviewing a gas station hot dog.
Now, let’s cut to the chase. Is there a risk in having non-artsy types prattling about painting? Absolutely! But Audioteka has assured us that the guest roster is packed with curious individuals willing to link their life stories to the marquee works at the museum. It’s a bit like asking your mate who’s never been to the gym to critique a Chippendales performance — will it be awkward? Yes, but it’ll definitely be entertaining!
We hear from Monika Bazdyga, Head of Marketing at Audioteka, exuding excitement about this artistic venture that’ll revolutionize how we consume modern art. She insists that while listening to the podcast, we’ll also want to gaze at the very art being discussed. Brilliant idea, Monika! Now if only we could listen to the podcast while leisurely sipping cappuccinos in the museum café whilst dressed like we’re in a culture magazine photo shoot.
With influences straight from across the pond, resembling American audio storytelling masterpieces like Aria Code and Artists Among Us, the producers are gearing up to upend how we think about art. Zofia Płoska-Czartoryska, the podcast’s host and originator, awesomely points out that unexpected topics lead to engaging stories. It’s like ordering a salad and finding a massive chocolate cake hidden underneath. Who wouldn’t want to dive into the MSN collection’s rich history?
Now, who is behind this artistic explosion of sound? The podcast boasts a sophisticated cast and crew, including Zofia, Jakub Depczyński, and other art aficionados who’ve joined forces with award-winning podcast wizards Monika Proba and Wojtek Oleksiak from Move Me Media. They even have a jingle by the talented Anna Zaradny— because what’s a podcast without a catchy tune to make your commute to work feel slightly more tolerable?
The premiere episode, featuring the at-times controversial yet always entertaining Katarzyna Figura and the brilliant Joanna Krakowska, is set to drop on October 25. It’ll be available for free on Audioteka’s app and website. Because let’s be real: free is the best price, and your love for art doesn’t need to break the bank!
In conclusion, if you’ve ever thought of contemporary art as a cryptic crossword puzzle only your eccentric uncle could solve, this podcast aims to pull you out of the riddle and transform you into an art aficionado in Adidas sneakers. So grab your earphones and pencil in that listening date – you won’t want to miss out! After all, everything has already happened, and now it’s time to pay attention.
