Audi company introduced concept electric station wagon A6 Avant e-tron. It echoes the Audi A6 e-tron sedan shown almost a year ago at the Shanghai Motor Show. I wrote regarding it last April:

Design
Audi knows how to make stylish cars. Let it seem to many that each of the models is similar to all the others, but just look at this car:
A year ago, I had complaints regarding the stern of the sedan:
But in the case of the station wagon, it looks more organic:
Like other “e-trons”, this one received rear-view cameras instead of mirrors. Apparently, the production version in some countries will also have this option available.
Despite the traditionally less aerodynamic body style, the drag coefficient is an impressive 0.24 Cd, just 0.02 Cd more than the sedan. A very decent figure for a fairly angular car design.
The car seems very long because of the low roof. Dimensions are 4960 × 1960 × 1440 mm. Visually, the A6 Avant e-tron is also lengthened by huge 22-inch wheels with relatively short overhangs:
The false radiator grill goes into oblivion. But because it’s been a fixture in automotive design for over a century, designers don’t risk abandoning it entirely.
Matrix headlights are implemented using proprietary Digital Matrix LED technology. They evaluate objects on the road, and also draw “hints” on the road.
Iron
The car will be built on a modular platform Premium Platform Electric, developed jointly with Porsche. It allows you to install an 800-volt power plant. According to company representatives, the fastest versions of the A6 Avant e-tron will be able to accelerate to “hundreds” in less than 4 seconds.
The battery capacity is unknown, but Audi claims a WLTP range of up to 700 km. Most likely, we are talking regarding the top-end configuration. The car can receive a 270 kW charging, but it is not yet known whether this desire of the company will be realized in the production version.
If such standards do reach the series, then if the car is connected to a supported network in ten minutes, the battery will replenish the charge, which will be enough for 300 km.
It is not known whether the car will receive all-wheel drive or only rear-wheel drive will be available. I believe that the serial A6 Avant will still have a quattro version, and four-wheel drive is traditionally hidden behind this name.
Future
The serial version of the Audi A6 e-tron sedan will be shown in the second half of this year, and what the Avant version will be, which will see the conveyor, we will not know until next year.
However, Audi has already released test samples on the road, which, apparently, do not differ much from the presented concept. And this cannot but rejoice.
