“The Storage Champion”. This is how Audi immediately qualifies its latest creation, the A6 Avant e-tron concept. As its name suggests, it is a study of style prefiguring the break declined from the future A6 which will also have its 100% electric equivalent, in the e-tron range.
Externally, the pencil stroke is breathtaking with a tapered and fluid silhouette. So much so that the manufacturer writes in its press release that “it is obvious at first glance that this vehicle was designed in a wind tunnel”. Words supported by the excellent aerodynamic coefficient of this prototype, ie a Cd of 0.22. It must also be said that with these small camera mirrors, its arched roof and its height contained at 1.44 meters, the A6 Avant e-tron concept has little wind resistance.
Always design, “its elegant lines and proportions anticipate future Audi production models,” reads the same press release from the brand. Its generous length of 4.96 m promises a beautiful living space and a large trunk, the volume of which has not been disclosed. Ditto for the images of the passenger compartment which probably looks chic and ultra-sophisticated.
This last qualifier is especially suited to the technical basis of this model which is powered by a battery with a power of 270 kW. Audi not only promises a maximum range of around 700 km, but also some of the shortest charging times. Thus, and with an 800 volt super-charger, it is possible to have 300 km of autonomy following only 10 minutes of recharging. Indeed, storage champion!
