Enforcement actions are suspended for six months on movable or immovable property for natural persons and businesses affected by the fires of July, August and September by decision of the Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis.
In the context of the decision, the execution of auctions, seizures, removals and personal reservations is suspended for six (6) months and the deadlines for exercising remedies and aids related to pending enforcement proceedings are suspended.
Beneficiaries of suspension
Beneficiaries of the suspension are natural persons and businesses affected by the fires that occurred from July 23 to September 7, 2023 in areas of Regions of Western Greece, Central Greece, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Attica South Aegean and Peloponnese. In particular, beneficiaries are businesses that are certified as affected by a certificate from the Region and are included in the framework of state aid to affected businesses, as well as natural persons, who are certified to have suffered damage to their homes, in the context of their inclusion in the housing scheme assistance and allowance for household goods.
In detail, the suspension applies to those affected by the fires:
A) of July 23, 2023 in areas of the Achaia Regional Unit of the Region of Western Greece,
B) of July 26, 2023 in areas of the Fthiotida Regional Unit of the Region of Central Greece,
C) of August 19, 2023 in areas of the Evros Regional Unit of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,
D) of August 21, 2023 in areas of the Regional Units of Evros, Kavala and Rhodope of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and Evia and Boeotia of the Region of Central Greece,
E) of August 22, 2023 in areas of the Regional Units of Rodopi and Kavala of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and Western Attica of the Region of Attica
F) of August 23, 2023, in areas of the Regional Unit of Boeotia of the Region of Central Greece,
G) of August 26, 2023 in areas of the Andros Regional Unit of the South Aegean Region,
H) of August 31, 2023 in areas of the Messinia Regional Unit of the Peloponnese Region
I) of September 2nd and 7th in areas of the Evros Regional Unit of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
It is recalled that there was a previous Ministerial Decision on the granting of suspension of acts of forced execution on movable or immovable property to those affected by the fires that occurred between July 17 and 27 in the regions of Attica, Peloponnese, Central Greece, South Aegean, Ionian Islands and Thessaly .
