Few people must have accumulated as many products from a premium company as Apple at the level of Hanspeter Luzi. He started by buying old computers from schools until, in 2015, the year of his death, he had a collection of more than 500 Apple products, released between 1977 and 2008.
All of these devices stayed with Luzi’s family, who (apparently) aren’t that keen on keeping the collector’s wares. They are being offered at an auction organized by Julien’s Auctions and can be purchased individually for a few hundred or thousands of dollars — depending on the product.
The main highlights of Hanspeter Luzi Vintage Apple Archive, obviously, are the Macs. The most expensive on the list is a Apple Lisa, which was one of the first computers to have a graphical user interface. with estimate between $10,000 and $20,000it was a failure precisely because of its high price.
The line that prevailed, as we know, was the Macintosh. The first computer to be marketed with that name — later being renamed to Macintosh 128K due to its limited memory capacity — it is also on the auction list. It is estimated that it will be sold for some amount. entre US$200 e US$300.
Still talking regarding Macs, there are also portable computers on the list, such as a Macintosh Portable (estimated entre US$300 e US$500) it is a PowerBook 100 (US$500-US$700). O all-in-one most desired in the world is also not left out, since there is a iMac G3 2001 with estimated cost entre US$200 e US$300.
Apart from Macs, there are items for all tastes and budgets, such as controles joystick (US$100-US$200), a digital camera QuickTake 100 (US$200-US$300) and even motherboards of computers like the Lisa (US$100-US$200).
