AUA passengers must once once more prepare for flight cancellations. At Austrian Airlines, over 100 flights are canceled on Thursday due to a company meeting of the flying staff. The 12,000 affected passengers have been informed and rebooked if necessary, according to the airline. It is the third time in just under two weeks that Austrian Airlines has had flight cancellations.

There were originally 300 flights on the AUA flight schedule for Thursday, but from the current perspective, 120 of them are cancelled. The reason for the works meeting is the stalled collective agreement negotiations with the AUA on-board staff. The ideas for a salary increase differ massively between employers and employees. Employers offer a plus of 4.5 percent and promise more if the term is longer. The union, on the other hand, is demanding 30 percent more salary and more vacation.

The airline announced that due to the company meeting that was announced for last Friday and then postponed, the company suffered damage of around 4 million euros. The airline had to cancel 150 flights, affecting 12,800 passengers. At the staff meeting on March 1st, 112 flights were canceled and around 12,000 passengers were affected.
