ATX 3 and PCIe 5.0 power supplies

MSI announced in a press release its new high-end power supplies MEG Ai1300P et Ai1000P. These have the latest standards PCIe 5.0but also ATX 3.0all on a certification 80 PLUS Platinum. These blocks are therefore intended for gaming configurations with graphics cards with PCIe Gen5 power supply. As a reminder, this connector allows you to pass up to 600W of power on a single cable.

MSI MEG Ai1300P and Ai1000P, real-time monitoring to monitor CPU/GPU output power

We find PCIe 5.0 power supplies on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card, but this standard will also be present on the next generations of graphics cards. This is therefore quite an important point in combination with theATX 3.0. MSI MEG power supplies automatically detect the load and internal temperature of the PSU in order to adjust the fan rotation speed (a MEG SILENT GALE P12). Obviously, we also have the fan cut-off under a certain temperature/load threshold. Indeed, it will be necessary to load the power supply to 55% or to pass the bar of 70 degrees for the fan to start. This is to optimize the silent side when the block is not in high demand.

Note that the MSI MEG Ai1300P is also equipped with a real-time monitoring system. This will allow you to monitor the output power to the CPU/GPU or the energy efficiency in real time. A feature that is therefore very interesting in our eyes. This management will of course be done via the in-house software of the dragon brand: MSI Center. For this to happen, the power supply will need to be connected to the motherboard via a USB header or a USB Type-A port.

MSI also offers the possibility of switching from a multi-rail mode to a single-rail mode, like what be quiet! on its Dark Power Pro 10 with a small switch on a PCIe bracket. Note that in multi-rail mode, we will have a first at 40 A and three others at 50 A. Otherwise, it can deliver a total of 108.33A on the +12V line once morest 25A on the +5V and + lines 12V. Connectivity includes a 24 pin ATX, two EPS (4+4 pin and 8 pin), eight 6+2 pin PCIe, a 16 pin PCIe, 16 SATA and four Molex

In terms of dimensions, we have 150 x 160 x 86 mm. We do not yet have any information on the price of these 1000 and 1300W power supplies from MSI.
