Attorney General ordered to catch alleged murderers –

The Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Paul-Marie Gondjout, in a communication on Tuesday, firmly instructed the Attorney General at the Libreville Court of Appeal to catch the two young alleged murderers and to shed full light on the provisional release granted to them four (4) months after their incarceration, following the rape and murder, the facts of which they publicly acknowledged to our colleagues at Gabon 1ère, on Miss Michaëla Dorothée Ngoua, on August 8, 2023 in the Sotéga district, in the 2^th district of Libreville.

The reaction of the Minister of Justice follows a video that went viral on the web, in which one of the murderers can be seen freely exhibiting himself on the web outside Gabon, in France according to popular outcry, arousing the emotion of the national community and the family of the young missing person, coldly murdered and raped by Erwan Bradyn Siadous Rapono and Christ-Anderson Nounamo, both minors, respectively 16 and 17 years old, at the time of the commission of the facts, in August 2023.

In consideration of what is in all likelihood an affront to justice and collective memory, Paul-Marie Gondjout has therefore demanded from the Attorney General of the judicial court of appeal of Libreville a detailed report on the circumstances of the release of the two young accused.

It emerges from the facts that the said culprits benefited from a provisional release measure granted by the investigating judge on December 22, 2023. This decision, contested by the Public Prosecutor’s Office which had appealed, was confirmed against all expectations by an order of provisional release from the Indictment Division of the Judicial Court of Appeal of Libreville on April 25, 2025.

Faced with this situation, he judged “intolerable and unacceptable”the Minister of Justice ordered the immediate incarceration of the two young people involved in this case. Paul-Marie Gondjout also instructed the General Inspectorate of Judicial Services to conduct a thorough investigation to identify possible individual responsibilities and ensure that the necessary disciplinary measures are applied with the utmost rigor, he stressed.
