Attorney General confirms “false positive” in attack against Maria Corina

The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, confirmed this Saturday the “false positive” regarding the attack against the leader of Vente Venezuela, María Corina Machado.

Through his account on X, formerly Twitter, prosecutor Saab reported that the Public Ministry (MP) appointed the 19th National Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the detainee’s testimony. According to the publication, the detainee is a member of the Vente Venezuela team.

Saab also highlighted that the “false positive spread by MCM who, without showing any proof, stated that the vehicles he used to travel allegedly “had been attacked””.

He also said that the detainee was hired by “This political leader is currently testifying in Lara”. Highlighting that he is revealing details such as “the circumstances of manner, time and place, as well as the amount of money that was paid to carry out that act“.

This Saturday, a video was leaked of the confession of the alleged activist of the Vente Venezuela party, who allegedly attacked the leader María Corina Machado. According to the report of the information portal Alberto News, the Prosecutor’s Office would have the “confession and some evidence“. Evidence that would link “Magallí Meda for ordering the damage caused to the vehicles used by opposition leader María Corina Machado“.
