Attijariwafa bank sets up in Chad

The Attijariwafa bank group announced on Tuesday the creation of a new subsidiary in Chad called Attijari bank Tchad, consolidating its presence in the Central African Economic and Monetary Community zone, we learn from a press release from the bank.

Chad is a market with promising development prospects that benefits from a unique geostrategic position, the statement said, adding that the country benefits from a young population and strong economic development potential.

This establishment allows the Attijariwafa bank group to extend its international network to 26 countries and to pursue its pan-African development strategy aimed at building itself as a leading pan-African banking and financial group.

In addition to its banking activities, Attijariwafa bank Group operates through its subsidiaries in many financial businesses such as insurance, credit, asset management, stock market intermediation, etc.

With more than 20,583 employees and a portfolio of 10.6 million customers, the group is present in 26 countries through its subsidiaries. The group is present in particular in Africa in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo-Brazzaville, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Gabon, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Togo, Tunisia and now in Chad. In Europe, Attikariwafa bank is present in Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and beyond, financial companies or representative offices of the group are present in London, Geneva, Montreal, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Riyadh.
