Attempted torture on train: Woman bites accused’s finger | Crime

Bhopal: A woman was thrown out of a moving train during a torture attempt. A 24-year-old girl was attacked by a moving train in Madhya Pradesh’s Chattarpur district on Wednesday evening. The seriously injured woman was admitted to the hospital. Jabalpur SP Vinayak Verma told national media that a case has been registered once morest him for attempted murder and violence once morest women. The accused will be arrested soon, police said.

The woman sustained serious injuries, including to the head, hospital officials said. The girl, a native of Uttar Pradesh, came to Chattarpur to visit the Bageshwar Dham temple. The girl was traveling in the general compartment of the Khajuraho-Mahoba Express special passenger train. Just before boarding the train, the assailant climbed into the same compartment. Only two were in the compartment.

As soon as the train left, the accused started talking badly to the girl. He then went to the woman’s seat and tried to grab her. The woman tried to resist but the assailant tried to remove the woman’s clothes. The woman testified that she then tried to escape to the next compartment and was bitten by the assailant. When the girl resisted, the assailant pushed her off the train and threw her down. The girl was rushed to the hospital by railway officials.
