It is today off the coast of Kagoshima Prefecture in the Kyushu region of southern Japan.

Colossal waves crash and strong winds blow, precariously swaying the palm trees on the beach.

Raging waves are also coming to Nagasaki Prefecture in northern Kyushu.

Typhoon Hinnamno is heading north west of Kyushu.

Kyushu is expected to see huge waves of 12 meters high between tonight and tomorrow.

Traffic was hit first.

Shinkansen service in northern Kyushu has been suspended and ship operations have been suspended.

As the ship was cut off, items could not enter the mart, so the shelves were empty.

“(Instant) rice, canned food, instant ramen, etc. are already sold out.”

All shops were closed and evacuated.

The situation is the same in Saga Prefecture next to Nagasaki.

“Most of the ramen. Ramen and tea. And mostly ramen. I don’t know if I’ll be able to go by tomorrow.”

Upon hearing the news that a powerful typhoon is landing, we are nervous about preparing for a typhoon by blocking all the windows of houses with thick wooden boards.

In Okinawa, which was hit by Typhoon Hinnamno earlier, a wind speed of 40 m/s blew at an instant.

The wind was strong enough to tilt the road sign and blow it away, injuring four elderly people, including a woman in her 90s.

On a nearby island, 237 millimeters of rain fell in a day, which is close to the amount of rain that would fall in a month, and it was counted that the electricity supply to 5,300 households in Okinawa was cut off.

As Typhoon Hinnamno gets stronger, the Japan Meteorological Agency predicted 300 millimeters of heavy rain in the Kyushu area by noon tomorrow.
