Attacks from social networks are a state problem

This Monday, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabellostated that the “attack” on the official sector, military, police and Venezuelan authorities became a “state problem.”

In his usual press conference, the deputy before the National Assembly stressed that the party rejects the “interference” of any country, institution or organization in the world that tries to “interfere” in the internal affairs of Venezuela.

“We must continue to denounce the harassment, siege, attack and war against our country. The issue of social media is a mental health and family problem, it is a serious problem. And when these social networks begin to want to change the president, then it becomes a state problem,” he said.

In light of this, he welcomed the creation of a cybersecurity committee to deal with these cases of “attacks” by influencers who have been “hired” by the political sector to spread their “fascist position” and by citizens who commit crimes.

He said that digital platforms are being used as tools of “imperialist domination” by “lackeys” who share content to pit societies against one another and create violence.
