The time for the answer has arrived. Warning sirens are sounding in Tel Aviv and central Israel. This was confirmed by the IDF, which on this occasion sent warnings to the inhabitants’ personal cell phones. At least 102 missiles have been launched by Iran towards the Jewish state. Pictures of the shooting down of Iranian surface-to-surface ballistic missiles by the Arrow air defense system are shown on Israeli television stations. Meanwhile, news also arrived of two attacks, probably terrorist, in Israel: one in a shopping center in Tel Aviv, the other on the light metro in Jaffa.
At least seven people were injured in the shooting in Israel’s Tel Aviv shopping mall, according to rescuers, in what police called an alleged “terrorist” attack. “At least seven were injured at two different sites,” said Magen David Adom emergency medical service chief Eli Bin. “Paramedics are providing medical care to a number of victims in varying conditions,” the emergency service said. Surveillance camera images in the Jaffa light rail reveal that at least two terrorists, one of whom was seen armed with an assault rifle, carried out the shooting attack. The images – writes the ‘Times of Israel’ – show the terrorists exiting the light rail. One of them opened fire on the body of a man on the ground.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have said the ongoing missile attack on Israel is a response to the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah last week and that of the Hamas leader. “In response to the martyrdom of (Hamas leader) Ismail Haniyeh, Hassan Nasrallah and (Guards commander) Nilforoshan, we targeted the heart of the occupied territories (Israel),” the Guards said in a statement reported by the news agency.
