ATP Marseille: a defeat without appeal for Marc-Andrea Hüsler – rts.ch

Marc-Andrea Hüsler was taken out of the ATP 250 in Marseille. The Zurich native (ATP 48) fell to Frenchman Grégoire Barrère (ATP 58) 6-3 6-2.

The weeks are starting to follow each other and look alike unfortunately for Marc-Andrea Hüsler (ATP 48). As in Rotterdam, the Swiss no1 did not pass the course of the 1st round in Marseille. The left-hander lost in just an hour of play.

Faced with a Frenchman who is going through the best period of his career, Marc-Andrea Hüsler has remained very far from the mark. He did not get any break point on his opponent’s 11 service games. He conceded his commitment 3 times, in the 2nd game of the first set, at 2-2 and 2-4 in the second.

Stan Wawrinka remains for the moment the only Swiss qualified for the round of 16. Leandro Riedi and Alexander Ritschard will try to join him in the evening.
