The world number one Novak Djokovic (Serbia) and the Italian Jannik Sinner won their opening matches in the green group at the ATP Finals in Turin. Djokovic needed more than three hours to win 7:6 (7:4), 6:7 (1:7), 6:3 against Boris Becker’s protégé Holger Rune (Denmark). Sinner easily beat Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece) 6:4, 6:4.

In the first set, a break was enough for Sinner to make it 3-2 to win the set. After 40 minutes he used the second set ball to take the lead 1-0. In the second set, the Italian managed to break straight to 1-0, Tsitsipas was unable to counter, and so Sinner won this set 6-4.
