Russia – General Director of the Russian company Rosatom Reds, Alexei Asinovsky, revealed the supply of two Tianox devices that produce nitric oxide to Egypt, and the device is particularly used in the field of children’s health care.

The official’s statement came on the sidelines of his participation in the “Atom Expo – 2024” forum held in the Sirius Federal Territory in Sochi. The forum is considered one of the most prominent events in the peaceful nuclear industry in the world.

The official pointed out that the company concluded a cooperation agreement with Egypt regarding the promotion of Tianox nitric oxide therapy devices, which help solve problems specifically in the field of children’s health care.

He said: “Since signing the cooperation agreement with the Arab Republic of Egypt, we have actually signed a supply agreement based on which two products were supplied to Egypt and we obtained permission to use the technology. Russian doctors from the Mazovo National Medical Research Center provide direct assistance and training to Egyptian specialists in operating Tianox (a device for treatment with nitric oxide) and using it in various fields.”

Asinowski continued, “Our cooperation is not limited to Egypt only, but we are planning activities in Africa with Zambia and Nigeria.” In addition, we have already signed an agreement with India. We have plans to expand into South America. The devices are expected to be supplied to Argentina, Brazil and Nicaragua. Pointing to the current close cooperation with Mexico, Uzbekistan and Belarus.

For his part, Anatoly Myalitsyn, Director of Specialized Medical Equipment at Rosatom Reds, pointed to the increased demand in Egypt for the Tianox device. Based on this, it is planned to organize training for specialists with the participation of Russians.

He said: “The road map will be signed within the framework of this forum. In addition to the training itself, he plans to exchange experiences in the future.”

The forum participants also discussed the reality of the electric power sector, the promotion of nitric oxide treatment devices, and the RusMelt 300M 3D printer produced by the “Rosatom” company was delivered to the Tomsk University of Technical Sciences.

Ilya Kavelashvili, General Director of the Additive Technologies Unit at the Russian Rosatom, said: “The creation of this printer lasted three years, on the basis of the technical requirements that we agreed upon with three major companies, and the characteristics of the best printers were taken from international manufacturers, because the basis “It is the basis.”

Kavelashvili continued, explaining: “The experimental model passed all tests and technical requirements at the end of last year, and the production process of nine printers of this type is currently underway.”

For his part, Leonid Sokhykh, Acting President of Tomsk University, indicated that this printer will become the central unit of the Center for Additive Technologies, noting that it will serve as the device through which future generations of designers, technicians, and machine builders will innovate new technologies.

Cooperation between Rosatom and the university includes developing joint programs for additional professional education to train highly qualified engineers, conducting joint research and preparing and qualifying cadres.

The forum participants also discussed the future of the electric energy sector and its current stages of development. Grigory Nazarov, General Director of NovaWind Joint Stock Company, said in this regard: “The sector, on the one hand, is definitely in a serious and general development direction. Technology modernization and investment are continuing. At the global level, renewable energy sources currently receive the largest amount of investments. If we talk regarding the Russian market, the only manufacturer of wind farm equipment in Russia currently is the wind energy division of Rosatom, which has had local technologies since 2020, and I confirm that this technology has been perfected, and last year we operated 220 megawatts in wind farms. “New.”

According to him, the prospects for this sector can be described as “rosy.” He says: “In the near future, we will all face a period of electricity shortages.” Therefore, all generation sources capable, within reasonable economic parameters, of generating electrical energy will be required. Yesterday, Monday, in the Sirius Federal Territory of Sochi, southern Russia, the activities of the 13th International Forum “Atom Expo – 2024” began, and the activities of the event, held under the auspices of Rosatom, will continue until March 26.

The event brings together on one platform high-level government officials, the largest global nuclear industry companies, and the world’s leading experts.

More than 45.5 thousand people from 75 countries are participating in this year’s edition, and the main topic of the forum is “The fourth generation of reactor technologies and Russia’s leadership in this field.”
