Atlético Nacional defeated Deportivo Cali 3-0 for date 12 in the BetPlay II-2022 League. The Antioquia team was practical and with goals from Andrés Andrade, Dorlan Pabón and Andrés Felipe Román, they went over the Valle del Cauca team, who are still in the lower part of the championship.

At minute 2, Andrés Andrade opened the scoring, following a collective move down the left side, following a recovery by Nelson Palacio in the midfield, the ’10’ purslane with a cross shot left goalkeeper Miguel Sánchez without reaction.

The purslane continued to attack and at minute 11, following another collective move that started on the left wing and ended on the right, Dorlan Pabón increased the lead for the local team.

At minute 14 he had scored a goal for Cali, through Daniel Luna, but it was ruled out of place. However, rl VAR called the central referee Bismark Santiago, who following three minutes of deliberation, agreed with the linesman in annulling the visitor’s offensive action.

The greens did not slow down and at minute 20, Dorlan Pabón had the third following a cross from the side. The green team from Antioquia continued to charge for victory, while Cali tried to respond, but with more desire than precision.

The game slowed down a bit in intensity around the 28th minute of the first half, Nacional controlled the ball, but did not go beyond the middle of the field, while Cali defended itself as best it might.

At minute 37, an overflow by Danovis Banguero on the left left the ball served to Jefferson Duque, but the scorer was unable to get there in time to push the ball into the back of the net and it passed in front of the Caleño goal.

In the final minutes, Cali generated several approaches, although without much danger, on Kevin Mier’s goal. The purslane took the opportunity to go on a counterattack, but precision was lacking.

In the complementary stage, Deportivo Cali made three variants in their payroll, entering Aldair Gutierrez, Kevin Salazar and Carlos Lucumí, in place of Alexis Palacios, Yimmi Congo and Yony Gonzalez.

Nacional was getting closer to the opposite goal, dominating the actions and pressing high on Deportivo Cali. It was at minute 15 that the third came through Felipe Román, who took advantage of a defensive rebound to finish off with his right leg in a cross manner, shooting the Cali goalkeeper.

At minute 25, Deportivo Cali made its fourth substitution, entering Christian Mafla instead of Daniel Luna.

Nine minutes later, Nacional made its first changes to the squad, bringing in Alexander Mejía, Daniel Mantilla and Jayder Asprilla, replacing Sebastián Gómez, Yerson Candelo and Jefferson Duque.

At 35, another collective move by Nacional led to a shot by Emmanuel Olivera, who disguised himself as a midfielder, the ball hit a Cali player and hit the right post, it might have been the local’s fourth goal.

Three minutes later, Nacional made two more changes, Dorlan Pabón and Andrés Andrade left to applause and Yeison Guzmán and Jhon Elmer Solis entered.

In the end, Nacional processed a match that had been resolved in 12 minutes. Cali tried, but his inaccuracies left him diluted in a key match once morest a direct rival.

With this victory, Atlético Nacional climbs to fourth place with 19 points. On the Cali side, they stayed in the penultimate box with 8 points, practically eliminated from the championship.

On the next date, Atlético Nacional receives Patriotas, while Deportivo Cali visits Cortuluá.
