Atlético Madrid continues once morest Alavés and doubles Barça
The Colchoneros secured the essentials at home this Sunday evening (2-1) and took advantage of Barça’s defeat the day before in the Clasico to take 3rd place.

Atlético Madrid signed a sixth consecutive victory in the league, Sunday once morest promoted Alavés at the Metropolitano (2-1) during the 11th day of Liga, overtaking FC Barcelona to settle in 3rd place. Despite a late match, the Colchoneros took advantage of Barça’s defeat once morest its rival Madrid in the Clasico on Saturday (1-2) to get on the podium, three lengths from Girona and Real Madrid, still leader. This fourteenth consecutive home victory allows them to equal their previous record established in 2013. Alavés remains 17th with three points ahead of the relegation zone.
