Atlanta wins Game 1 of the World Series in Houston

The best start is for Atlanta. In Game 1 of the World Series, the Braves defeated the Houston Astros (6-2) having pulled away from the start, leading 5-0 following the first three innings. Home runs from Jorge Soler and Adam Duvall notably chilled fans at Minute Maid Park.

And even the injury of pitcher Charlie Morton, well supplemented by AJ Minter, did not derail the Braves, who were able to contain the Astros. But Morton, touched with the right fibula, is probably fixed for the whole of the series.

The next match of the final (best of seven matches) will take place on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, still in Houston.
