The beautiful red soil of Atlanta succeeded with the Reds of the Honda team, since Chase Sexton in the queen category and Hunter Lawrence in the 250 east coast imposed themselves with style, without being worried. As for the championship fight, Cooper Webb finished just ahead of Eli Tomac in fourth place.

Starting second just behind Ken Roczen, Chase Sexton didn’t take long to take the advantage on the fast Atlanta Speedway circuit, which was difficult to overtake. Impeccable in speed and consistency in the whoops, the trickiest part of this terrain, the young Honda rider didn’t make any mistakes this time around and finished without a problem to win this final with panache. He is ahead of the excellent Justin Barcia, who took a long time to manage to overtake Ken Roczen properly. Another very good run from Justin Barcia, who might even have played with Sexton if he had gotten rid of Kenny faster.

Nice podium also for Ken Roczen, also very good in the horrible whoops of the Georgian track. Everyone is happy in front, therefore, but less behind with an average race of the two overall leaders. Bad start, Eli Tomac made the effort to come back on Cooper Webb but never managed to find the opening. He therefore finished fifth, behind a Cooper Webb who was not very inspired either. Aaron Plessinger, starting from a long way behind them, even got involved in the fight for a while… A strange race for our leaders.

East Coast Atlanta 250 Class: Easy Hunter Lawrence

Hunter Lawrence is a class above everyone else in this championship, and proves it race following race. Starting behind Haiden Deegan, he passed the young Star pilot, before brushing the fall and letting Haiden pass. No problem, he overtook DangerBoy once more without any problem to win easily. Behind, Jordon Smith was the only one not to let Hunter escape completely, with good passages in the whoops in particular. A second place which feels good following the non-qualification of the previous race… Haiden Deegan took advantage of the violent fall of Nate Thrasher to keep a third place which seemed compromised. No news yet on the state of health of Nate Thrasher, but a shoulder injury cannot be ruled out… Jo Shimoda overcame a bad start to return to the foot of the podium for his return to SX, ahead of a Max Regular Anstie. In the championship, 45 points ahead for Hunter Lawrence following Atlanta. A boulevard !

Tough day for Tom Vialle too. Starting in the top 5, the KTM rider collided with another from the first sequence and therefore fell very hard, fortunately without gravity. Too bad, following a rather convincing heat where he finished second behind Hunter Lawrence.
