The Atlanta Braves continue to strengthen their team for the 2022 Major League – MLB season and have now signed right-handed reliever Collin Mchugh.
Collin Mchugh, who was the best remaining reliever on the free agent market, comes to the reigning World Series champions to bolster their bullpen for the 2022 Major League season, certainly an attractive signing for the Braves.
The Braves and McHugh have reportedly agreed to a $10 million, two-year deal, which includes a $6 million club option for the 2024 MLB season.

The 34-year-old right-hander comes from playing with the Rays in 2021 and is a reliever with extensive experience and even boasts a World Series championship ring with the Houston Astros in 2017.
In addition, he has also worn the uniforms of the New York Mets and Colorado Rockies.
The signing of Collin McHugh joins that of Matt Olson as the Braves’ great acquisitions for the 2022 season, where with the return of Ronald Acuña Jr. and Marcel Ozuna they will seek to defend the title in the Major Leagues.
This is how he gets to the Braves
McHugh is coming off a year in which he posted a record of six wins and one loss, a brilliant 1.55 ERA in 37 games (64.0 innings) and had a total of 74 strikeouts.
