Atlanta accepts Bielefeld bid for George Bello

Arminia Bielefeld is apparently still awarded the contract with George Bello. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Bundesliga club was able to agree on a transfer with Atlanta United.

The MLS club have already accepted an offer from Belgium for Bello in the past few days, but the left-back was keen to move to Bielefeld. This wish will now be fulfilled shortly before the end of the transfer.

According to the report, Bielefeld will pay a $2 million transfer fee and Atlanta will receive a 25 percent resale royalty. An official confirmation of the deal is imminent.

Bello is a 20-year-old US international who has over 50 caps at the pro level. The contract of the 1.70 meter tall player originally ran until the end of 2022, which is why his fee is relatively small.
