ACTRESS Atiqah Hasiholan revealed that the character she plays is very different from herself. Atiqah plays Mami Late, a mother from a Batak family in the film ‘Tulang Belulang Tulang’.
Atiqah Hasiholan is required to be a strict mother towards her daughter named Cian, played by Tasha Siahaan.
Mami Latte has a very dominant character towards her daughter. What Mami Late orders must be followed even though it is not in line with Cian’s wishes. Meanwhile, Cian describes a kind woman but is always stressed because of her mother.
In playing this role, Atiqah Hasiholan admitted that the character of Mami Late was very different from herself.
“I’m in a parenting internship, I’m very different from Mami Late,” said Atiqah during the press conference for the film ‘Tulang Belulang Tulang’ at CGV Grand Indonesia, Thursday (19/09).
This difference in character is a challenge for Atiqah. Based on her confession, she often debated to build the character of Mami Late.
“So I also often argue with Atit, for example, like body shaming, hey, being fat is not allowed, so that means he’s wrong, so he has to take care of his health. So I have to keep looking for justifications like that. Things like that are a challenge for me,” she said.
