Atiq Ahmad Buried: Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf buried, end of 40 years of mafia rule

Prayagraj:Mafia don Atiq Ahmed buried and his brother Ashraf (Atiq Ahmed Ashraf Ahmad buried) were buried in their native Kasari Masari cemetery. Both were shot dead in front of the hospital on Saturday evening. The killers were three youths. All three have been arrested and sent to jail. In the evening, following Atiq and Ashraf’s dead bodies were brought to the cemetery, Atiq’s two minor sons Ahjam and Eban were also brought there in an ambulance. After some time both the daughters of Ashraf were brought there. Speculations continued till the end whether Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen would come to bid farewell to husband Atiq.

Earlier, the postmortem of Atiq’s body was done at around 5.30 pm. Ashraf’s body came half an hour later. After this, the process of cremation of both the dead bodies started. Meanwhile, many times such news came that Atiq’s wife Shaista surrendered and she has come to bid her last farewell.

Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf were killed on Saturday when the police took them to the hospital for medical checkup. Three people came posing as media persons and shot at point blank range. In the postmortem report, it was found that Atiq had 8 bullets and Ashraf had 5 bullets. A total of 22 rounds of bullets were fired.

Atiq and Ashraf were buried in the Kasari Masari cemetery on Sunday night, a day before Atiq’s son Asad was buried. Asad was the main accused in the Umesh Pal murder and was killed in an encounter with the STF in Jhansi on Thursday.
