Jimmy Fallon is one of the biggest stars of American TV. His show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallona late-night talk show that airs Monday through Friday on NBC, is one of the most watched in North America. And its sketches, generally in collusion with the biggest celebrities on the planet, become viral pieces on social media. So it was no surprise that its presence on the show Paris 2024 Olympic Games will not go unnoticed.

Fallon, 49, an occasional actor with almost 27 million followers on Instagram, indulged himself in all the ways any ordinary man could indulge himself in. According to the photographs of international news agencies, he could be seen in different settings and accompanied by giants of sport, music and also with world leaders.

So, having just arrived from Germany, where he had spent a few days in the Bavarian region – he hitchhiked and a neighbour took him back to his hotel – Fallon first took a stroll around the Stade de France, the stage where the best athletes in the world have displayed their talent in recent days. And there he watched the final of the 5,000 metres, which crowned the Norwegian Jakob Ingebritsen as Olympic champion, alongside Mick Jagger, the legendary leader of the Rolling Stones.

It is no coincidence that the voice of the world’s leading rock band often appears on his show and there he even presented the latest songs he released with Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood in the post-Charlie Watts era.

But the story didn’t end there. Fallon watched the game with rapt attention, sitting in the front row alongside former NBA players Carmelo Anthony, Scottie Pippen and Pau Gasol. Also present were Megan Rapinoe, the legendary captain of the US national soccer team, and her partner and former basketball player Sue Bird.

From there, Fallon had the pleasure of receiving a wink from Steph Curry, who dedicated a fantastic triple to him, when France tried unsuccessfully to get closer on the scoreboard.
