Athlete from the Bichos do Mato team beats São Silvestre de Viana – news

The athlete from the Bichos do Mato team, António Teko, won today, Saturday, the fourth edition of São Silvestre de Viana, a 10-kilometer race that aimed to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the “satellite” municipality, in Luanda, with a time of 35 minutes and 46 seconds.

Reacting to the victory, António Teko said that along the way he faced several constraints, but as a result of experience he managed to overcome them, adding that the opponents were at a good level.

Also second placed in the end-of-year pedestrian race, São Silvestre’2022 from Luanda guaranteed to work to defend the title of the race in the municipality of Viana, in the next edition.

In women’s competition, Interclube’s long distance runner, Lúcia Kapingãla, was the fastest with a time of 43 minutes and 32 seconds.

The race started at the headquarters of Jetour, the company sponsoring the event, on Via Expressa, and ended in front of the Viana administration.

The first place winner won 150 thousand kwanzas, the second 100 and the third 80.

The event was attended by the municipal administrator of Viana, Demétrio Brás de Sepúlveda, as well as the president of the Angolan Athletics Federation (FAA), Bernardo João.
