The State Workers Association (ATE) resolved to accept by a large majority the government’s salary proposal of a 23% increase for the June-August quarter, although subject to a series of conditions. Among them, the urgent treatment of updating items and additional items in all agencies and ministries.

In the same line in the first minutes of Friday Unter’s position was known, following the Extraordinary Congress that was held in Viedma.

«We have decided to condition our acceptance to a series of answers that the government must give to the claims of the state. There are numerous additional ones that must be updated, as well as the transfer to permanent plant remains stagnant. If we do not have positive signs in the next few days, we will be mandated free to initiate direct action measures. This is what the plenary resolved,” said Rodrigo Vicente, secretary general of the entity.

The latest offer from the Executive raises the minimum wage in the State to 205,270 pesos through an increase of 8% for June, 6% for July and 9% for August.

The plenary of ATE general secretaries accepted these percentages, but with the condition that if inflation in July were to exceed 6%, the revision scheduled for September should be brought forward to August.

ATE also requested the acceleration of the transfer to a permanent plant of 3,100 workers agreed at the beginning of the year.

Likewise, the union stressed the need to implement an unsanitary law, an increase in guard points for the 1904 law, the mobility payment of Support Service personnel in schools, extra heating for the South Zone, and the reopening of the discussion of the general and sectoral Collective Labor Agreement.
