There are very nasty things regarding me in the distance, which are true, true, true, but the plain is in the wind. Marguerite Anzieu
From the words of a woman interned in Sainte-Anne in 1882, the Impressions of a hallucinator excerpts from the magazine L’Encephale, Isabelle Lafon and Johanna Korthals Altes direct us to the frontiers of mental distress, the one that can affect us all, cross us in a more or less acute or prolonged way. Imbued with these writings and encounters with psychiatrists, hospitalized children or adults, they make these stories a personal and delicate journey towards madness from which confidences arise, subversive and furious like little shards of glass. It is not a question of saying that we are all in a state of madness, nor of refuting normality, but rather of mixing them to learn to cross paths, to listen to each other, to meet. Accept with fragility to see the distant in the near. Let a wind of madness blow until we jostle.
