The municipality’s culture department invites the public to meet at Parc des Jonquières on Saturday, September 2, for an astronomy evening, hosted by the association Ciel, mon ami and the Petits Débrouillards Occitanie.
The program: at 4:30 p.m., an initiation to science workshop is offered to children (2 hours). How do the planets revolve around the sun? How do stars and planets form? They will be able to leave with their own constellation. Free workshop, intended for children from 8 to 12 years old. Registration open at the media library. At 5 p.m., through a special telescope, participants will be able to observe the sun. The evening will conclude with a presentation at 8:30 p.m. of the solar system with videos and images from NASA and ESA. High-performance telescopes will make it possible to observe the sky and more particularly at this period, Saturn and Jupiter.
No catering but picnic in the grass or on the tables.
