A three-episode play, a poetically packaged social analysis of physical theater that explores power imbalances, dependency and controlling behavior using the example of a casual romantic relationship.
Almost completely silent, it is technically based on aerial acrobatics (wreath and hair suspension) and floor acrobatic elements, modern dance and physical theatre.
Embedded in a powerfully choreographed performance, the duo highlights the dynamics of addiction.
Pardalea.Collective seeks to fuel a dialogue and create visibility. But above all above all to encourage people to take action.
The narrative is based on characters:
An unnamed protagonist (Julia Makoschitz) from whom “self-doubt” emerges in the form of an allegorical figure (Angie Kurz). Throughout the performance, the protagonist is repeatedly drawn into memories – which almost become reality – of a – sometimes visible – figure who symbolically represents the abuse of power.
The work refers to loss and gain, which can self-determine and control actions and thoughts but also in forms of weakness, structural dependence and resignation.
