“At the doghouse”: the heated debate between Jean-Luc Mélenchon and Eric Zemmour

In “Face à Baba”, hosted by Cyril Hanouna on C8, viewers were able to witness a sequence that was eventful to say the least on Thursday evening. This second episode of the show was dedicated to Jean-Luc Mélenchon, France Insoumise presidential candidate. Eric Zemmour, one of his opponents in the race for the Elysée, came to debate in front of him.

The two candidates began by discussing the origins of France, before embarking on immigration, a subject on which their opinions are poles apart. This is where the exchange got very tense. Eric Zemmour reiterated his desire to expel the illegal immigrants. “Unlike you, I defend the French people,” he attacked.

“Okay, okay, we understood, in the doghouse! Ah, peace, the dog!”, exclaimed Jean-Luc Mélenchon, annoyed. “Please don’t talk to me like that,” Eric Zemmour first defended himself. “I speak as I want,” immediately retorted the candidate of France Insoumise. “You don’t talk to me like a dog, ok Mélenchon?” Replied the polemicist. And to Jean-Luc Mélenchon to insist: “It’s enough to talk regarding people like that, if you’re not happy, you can leave”, he thundered, before Cyril Hanouna calms the debate.

The two men then debated the pension reform, before Eric Zemmour gave way to other opponents.
