This year, Rwanda Fashion Week promoted sustainable fashion, a key topic at the CHOGM 2022 meeting. Industry players discussed ways to slow down the growing fast fashion trend, responsible for a significant pollution. Indeed, if this trend offers cheaper clothes, it increases the volume of our daily waste because many of these items quickly end up in the trash. This is why some companies are developing solutions so that fashion can evolve towards a circular model.
