At the bedside of the populations of Koulamoutou –

The General Coordinator of Samu Social, Dr Wenceslas Yaba, personally led a strong team of doctors and health professionals to Koulamoutou for yet another medical caravan for the benefit of the populations of the provincial capital of Ogooué-Lolo. The mobilized medical teams have set up their base in the Lisebe district, provincial headquarters of Samu social, where hundreds of people are flocking from this Wednesday, May 8.

This humanitarian mission includes both a medical component and a social component, with instructions to go to the bedside of the sick and needy, to be treated at home or to be transported to the provincial headquarters, for those who find themselves unable to ‘carry out Lisebe’s move.

On the medical level, consultations and other health care applied to patients concern ophthalmology, gynecology, oral diseases, minor surgery, pediatrics, cardiology, laboratory examinations and biomedical analyses.

All care and support are obviously free, as are ultrasound scans and medications which are distributed to patients for follow-up treatment.

In terms of social works, we note the free distribution of food kits, childbirth kits, toothbrushes and toothpaste; as well as children’s toys.
