Freddy Beleris: “Mitsotakis is the leader of all Hellenism”
“Proud to go to take up my duties as an MEP”, said Mr Freddy Beleris who arrived at the airport “El. Venizelos” at noon on Monday (7/15/24).
Freddy Beleris, who received permission from the prisons of Albania where he is being held to go to Strasbourg in order to be sworn in as an MEP, said he was moved and personally thanked Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
“I want to thank the Greek Prime Minister for his trust. He proved that he is the leader of all Hellenism and protects all Greeks wherever they are. I will fight to defend the rights of our homeland, of the Greeks wherever they live”, he stressed.

“My adventure is coming to an end, the fight for democracy, the rule of law and the freedom of citizens continues,” he underlined.
“The support of my own people, the Albanians and the Greeks, gives me strength and courage,” the ND MEP pointed out.
“I want to send the message to the residents of Himarra that they are not alone. They have Mother Greece to protect them. Their demands are fair. Sooner or later they will be vindicated.” referring to his fellow citizens.
Speaking regarding the role of the European Union, he pointed out “The European Union must not allow the will and will of the peoples within Europe to be disrespected.”
