The provincial elections on April 16 in Neuquén will leave nine deputies without a bench due to the impossibility of renewing their mandatewhile a majority, especially in the opposition blocks, will compete to ensure their continuity in the Legislature.
Although the complete lists will only be known on February 10, when the parties and alliances formalize their candidacies in the electoral court, there are several who have already anticipated their intention to lead or, at least, integrate the payrolls of their spaces.
those who they don’t have that option They can already be easily identified and are Maximiliano Caparroz and Maria Laura Du Plessis the Neuquén Popular Movement; Teresa Rioseco, Mariano Mansilla and Ayelén Gutiérrez of the Front of All; Ayelen Quiroga Together for Change; Francisco Roles part FREE; carlos sanchez of Popular Union; Y Patricia Jure of the FIT, although the latter resigned from her bench in the middle of her term to rotate with Blanca López.
There will be other legislators who will not leave their seats definitively in December, but because they will not apply once more. This is the case of five members of the official party, the only one that has already defined its payroll for the April election.
He will only run for eventual re-election Ludmila Gaitán and María Fernanda Villone, although the latter with few chances of entering. (See separate)
Those who today make up their allied blocks have already advanced some candidacies. It is the case of Fernando Galliaof the Nuevo Neuquén Front, who will run once more in this election, and of Elizabeth Camposwho would also do it but for the MID party.
As for what today is Together for Change, Leticia Esteves will integrate the list of the PRO and Neuquino New Commitment that will accompany the formula of Rolando Figueroa, although it is not yet clear where. Yes, he will be in the first pair together with the president of the party, Marcelo Bermúdez.
Caesar GassInstead, he will head the list of candidates for deputies seeking re-election, but with Pablo Cervi for the governorship.
With Figueroa’s nomination for the highest position, he will also try to retain his bench Lucas Castelli from Avanzar, who will be seconded by the current councilor, Ana Servidio.
The same would happen with Soledad Martínez of the Big Frontanother space that decided to accompany the national deputy in his anti-MPN front, and Carlos Coggiola, today a deputy for the Christian Democrats.
As for the FIT Unit, during the week it was learned that Andrés Blanco, a deputy since 2019, will seek his re-election occupying the first place on the list.
The less clear picture is in the Front of All. The block suffered multiple fractures and today its members are divided between props to Figueroa, Marcos Koopmann and Ramon Rioseco. In the second batch is the UNE of Mariano Mansilla, who cannot repeat and will try to leave his bench to Traful Berbel.
And the Rioseco sector is still settling in following the PJ Congress that defined support for Cutralquense, with several injuries along the way. From the list it is only known that it would be headed by Dario Martinezformer Secretary of Energy of the Nation. Lorena Parrilli would be a candidate for a municipal position in the capital and it still remains to be seen where Darío Peralta, Sergio Fernández Novoa, Soledad Salaburu and Gonzalo Bertoldi will be.
Little repetition in the MPN
The bloc of deputies MPN usually has high turnover in its benches between one choice and another. This April 16 will not be the exception, since only two legislators will be given the chance to repeat their term, one with more chances than the other.
Is regarding Ludmila Gaitán, in third place on the listy María Fernanda Villone, in 13th place. If the ruling party repeats a result similar to that of the previous provincial elections, it might only be left with nine seats, which would leave the former mayor of Loncopué without re-election.
In 2019, there were also two legislators who were able to access a second consecutive term: Maximiliano Caparroz and María Laura Du Plessis.
The same number did so in 2015, when Omar Gutiérrez was imposed for the first time as governor: only Luis Sapag and Claudio Domínguez renewed their seats.
Instead, in the 2011when Jorge Sapag and Ana Pechen agreed to their second government, there were four deputies also reelecteds: Graciela Muñiz Saavedra, Darío Mattio, Silvia De Otaño and José Russo.
