We are looking for an editor-in-chief and a deputy for “multimedia specialist departments”, “news teams” and “broadcast and platform teams”. The person responsible for the specialist departments is responsible, among other things, for the foreign correspondent offices and for investigative journalism as well as the focus on background reporting. The Newsteam editor-in-chief is primarily concerned with breaking news, social media and online presence as well as short reports. The tasks of the broadcast and platform teams include “planning and responsibility for the assigned programs or broadcast slots” – for example for the “ZiB” editions or the radio journals.
The salary specified for a position as editor-in-chief is at least 86,592.91 euros gross per year, and for a deputy job at least 76,842.91 euros gross per year. The three future bosses should have equal responsibility for the entire news department. If the trio cannot agree, the general director can be involved in the decision-making process.
