The department added that another seven people lost their lives in several bombings targeting different towns in the Baalbek-Hermel region, in the east of the Mediterranean country.

For its part, the Lebanese National News Agency (ANN) reported that Israel has expanded the radius of its bombings in recent hours, in which dozens of air attacks have been recorded in various areas of the country, but especially in the south. and the east, where Hezbollah has a greater presence.
“Since 10:30 a.m. today (7:30 GMT), Israeli fighter jets have carried out massive aerial aggression,” the agency said.
Likewise, the Israeli Army confirmed in a statement that it was “extensively attacking” the southern and eastern Bekaa Valley and added that dozens of Air Force fighters have participated in this morning’s attacks, which it stated were directed against more than a hundred Hezbollah “targets.”

According to the ANN, Israel’s “massive” bombings were concentrated mainly in the southern towns of Arnoun, in several points near the divide, Armati, Birkat al Jabour Sajad, Mleeta, Abbasiya (near Tire) and other towns adjacent to Nabatiyeh , among others.
In eastern Lebanon, Israeli attacks targeted the vicinity of the city of Hermel (northeast); the towns of Labweh, Ansar and Nabi Othman, in the northern Bekaa Valley; the outskirts of the city of Nahla, north of Beirut, where a house was completely destroyed; and Younine, among others.
Israel has been intensively bombing southern and eastern Lebanon since last Monday, causing the internal displacement of tens of thousands of people, attacks that have left at least 558 dead and thousands injured since their start, according to the latest. official count.
