The truck rollover left at least 20 injured and 14 dead in the municipality of Tuxcueca, in the state of Jalisco; the authorities are in the area providing support to citizens.
Throught social media, Civil protection from Jalisco reported that it is the overturning of a passenger truck that was traveling on the Tuxcueca – Citala highway.
The truck was transporting workers from a berry production company, in the direction of the municipality of Jocotepecthrough the highway that leads through Tuxcueca – Citala, where the accident was reported.
The first reports indicate that the truck may have had a fault in the braking system, for which, when the driver tried to stop, had no response from the brakes, which caused it to hit a wall located next to road.
Authorities and emergency units confirmed, so far, a balance of 20 injured and 14 deceasedamong which is the transport driver who lost his life in the hospital where he was being treated.
The injured people are being transferred to the different hospitals and aid stations for their medical attention.
The different rescue bodies continue to carry out the work at the site, while the arrival of the Public Ministry Agent is expected to take notice of the accident.
