Asylum: State of Salzburg is examining new locations for quarters

Tents are being erected in the neighboring federal state, and there is a lack of accommodation for asylum seekers. 500 places are to be created in Salzburg. The example of Neumarkt shows how difficult this is going to be.

In 2016, among other things, wooden houses for refugees were built in Salzburg, as here in the Alpenstraße. Now the country wants to build wooden houses once more.

In 2015, twelve tents were erected on the premises of the State Police Headquarters to accommodate refugees due to an acute lack of quarters. Seven years later such images are conceivable once more. The Federal Care Agency wants to set up tents in St. Georgen im Attergau (Upper Austria), others might follow in Carinthia, Tyrol and Vorarlberg.
