The Oberascher team got off to a strong start in the new state league season. Now Denis Andric and Co. want to stop Tamsweg’s run of success.
After a season in the Salzburg league, ASV Salzburg had to return to the first state league in the summer. And the people of Itzling seem to have digested the descent well. Captain Denis Andric and Co. scored seven points from the first three games, last weekend Berndorf was defeated 3-0 away. “I’m very happy with this start. The Landesliga is new territory for us, so we didn’t know where we were at the beginning,” explains ASV coach Fritz Oberascher, who has been in office since winter and has stabilized the club following a difficult six months has.
In addition to a solid defense, the offensive was particularly convincing at the start of the season. The tall winger Mirsad Dedovic has already scored four goals, while striker Dominik Tabernig has celebrated two goals so far. “We have a very good mix. The newcomers have fitted in very well and raise the quality,” says Oberascher.
On Saturday (3 p.m.), Tamsweg is the team of the moment. The Lungauer are unbeaten in 16 games and now want to score points in Itzling. “I know little regarding Tamsweg, but we will try everything to get the next win.”
