The Taiwanese company ASUS and the Austrian manufacturer of cooling systems Noctua are preparing to release a new collaboration result – the ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 10GB Noctua Edition graphics accelerator. Its feature is the cooling system, which includes two large 120 mm fans of the Austrian brand.
Recall that earlier the companies jointly issued ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 Noctua Edition, which features an unusual cooling system with two efficient, but at the same time very quiet 120mm NF-A12x25 fans. Learn more regarding this accelerator in our review.
Later Noctua confirmedthat cooperation with ASUS will continue and in the foreseeable future new models of jointly developed video cards may appear on the market. It looks like this future will come very soon. The VideoCardz portal shared images of the more productive ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 10GB Noctua Edition. It is curious that the manufacturers decided to choose a model that carries only 10 GB of video memory on board, although, recall, there is also a version with 12 GB of memory on the market.
ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 10GB Noctua Edition borrows the design of the GeForce RTX 3070 in the same performance. The thickness of the GeForce RTX 3080 Noctua Edition is four expansion slots. The fans of the cooling system, apparently, are used here the same as in the younger model. However, the heatsink of a more powerful card is more massive, to match a more powerful GPU.
The technical characteristics of the video card are currently unknown. From the photos you can only see that the accelerator is equipped with two 8-pin power connectors and received a non-standard set of external interfaces: three DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1. It is very likely that the printed circuit board from the ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 TUF model served as the basis for the card.
According to VideoCardz, the ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 10GB Noctua Edition will cost 1150 euros, which is 250 euros more expensive than the GeForce RTX 3070 in the same version. There is no information on availability yet.
