ASUS ROG unveils its first WiFi mesh system and announces the availability of ROG Swift OLED monitors

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) unveiled its first gamer-optimized WiFi mesh system at Gamescom on Tuesday, where it also announced the availability of its Swift OLED monitors.

ROG Rapture GT6 is the first WiFi mesh system from the gaming brand, offering a tri-band WiFi 6 setup for blazing-fast download speeds, low-latency gaming, elimination of dead zones, and security you can trust.

The ROG Rapture GT6 can offer up to 10,000 Mbps bandwidth, thanks to two 5GHz bands operating at 4,804 Mbps each and a 2.4 GHz band operating at 574 Mbps, the company said in a statement.

This bandwidth can cover up to 5,800 square meters thanks to nine internal antennas and ASUS Rangeboost Plus technology that extends signal range and overall coverage by up to 38%. Additionally, there is a 2.5Gb WAN port with LAN added for multi-gigabit wired connections.

Additionally, ROG’s latest WiFi 6 routers are also available in a range of products. new 5.9 GHz bandas a high-power 160Mhz third channel, designed to provide greater bandwidth for devices that need it or to improve secondary link capacity for setups that might benefit from additional signal strength .

SWIFT OLED GAMING MONITORS

The tech company also announced the availability of Swift OLED monitors, 42 inch PG42UQ and 48 inch PG48UQ.which include two 10-watt SOUND BY Harman Kardon front speakers and a 15-watt woofer.


ROG OLED monitors include a custom heat sink which offers a larger heat exchange surface, which allows to reduce the operating temperature by up to 8% and improve the performance and longevity of the panel.

The OLED display features a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio, 98% DCI-P3 color gamut, and Delta E color difference for photorealistic colors and deeper blacks. Both monitors also feature HDR10 and true 10-bit color. The response time is 0.1 milliseconds.

Unlike standard glossy OLED panels, the panels of ROG OLED gaming monitors feature a special micro-textured anti-glare coating for reduce reflections.

These screens are compatible with G-SYNC. And the PG42UQ and PG48UQ are both capable of displaying images in 4K (3840 x 2160) at approx. 138 Hz (overclocked).). They also feature a DisplayPort 1.4 port, two HDMI 2.1 with 48 Gbps bandwidth and two HDMI 2.0, and include a USB hub and tripod socket on the top of the monitor for connecting multiple devices.
